“Peppermint, Anyone?”, 16” x 30”
This was painted in memory of a past love, who abhorred the smell of peppermint. However, his mother, who loved sweets, gave me these silver cups and suggested that I keep candy in them.
"Peanut Joy", 18" x 24"
This painting is all about the nostalgia surrounding peanuts. Circus tents, elephants, Mr Peanut come together and overflow with the salty scent and feel of the shells breaking in one's hands.
“Hoosier Trumpets”, 18” x 24”
The “trumpet” paintings are an ode to my family. My grandparents met at Owens-Illinois, the glass factory where they both worked. Later, my mother worked for the competitor, Knox Glass and collected these paperweights. They were hand-made at St Clair Glass in central Indiana, a third-generation family business.

“Signature Scent”, 18” x 24”
My mother believed that a signature scent was important to a person’s identity. She always had one special perfume on her dresser that she wore daily. She changed every few years and it usually came from Avon since we were not wealthy. Late in life, friends treated her every birthday with her favorite perfume and she switched to the more expensive Estee Lauder. I still have her small collection of bottles with just the hints of scent left in them.
"Garden Treasures", 15” x 20”
There is nothing like the smell and taste of home-grown tomatoes. I patiently wait until August to enjoy the yearly treat.
“Lilly Rose Bouquet”, 22” x 15”
This vase was given to my family so that we may always have a place for flowers. It resides on the dining room table filled with seasonal beauty.
“Blue Birds”, 18” x 18”
Swiss blue glass collected by my mother along a church garage sale find. The sunlight filtered through them to create wonderful highlights.
